Sounds like they are doing some restoration of the banks. If so, I recommend the types of natural products such as rocks, logs, etc. In some cases I saw cages rock 'to be created.

The willows are friends of the bank and may be "sacrificed" for the good of the whole region. Use parts of old trees along the curve of the bay formed to protect erosion during the rainy season. These sections will eventually grow roots and shoots to increase, while the stabilization of the filter and nutrient supply, the creation of clean water, less transmitter, and the most suitable habitat (frogs, fish, plants, etc.) Poland Willow, "" may be cut (4-6 "sections) and planted on the bench eventually mature trees. You can also use certain types of plants, riparian plants is the variety (and stabilization) add ecosystems (grass, reeds, etc.)
Most pressure-treated wood is harmful bi-products that benefit more than harm. Verifytaken before and after pictures show what you have done to improve the sector.
Great idea, good luck.

Yes, you can leach chemicals into the stream.

Alternatives such as modular block wall system, concrete products, or recycled wood, such as woodworking XPOTENTIAL - http://www.xpotentialproducts.com/main.h ...
