You must keep your dog confined while the vet (it said years ago, we had provided, I do not remember) how long. Beg borrow or buy a cage large enough for your dog. Use them enough to walk. Use it after a while if you do not, you can control your dog to avoid, with the stairs, jumping on furniture, etc.
Our dog was regularly by a veterinarian after the week (2-fold monitored the first, and once a week for a few weeks ago she was 10 at the same time), and again very good.

What kind of operation has to do with your veterinarian? There are several techniques. My own pitbull had her surgery a year ago. He had a TPLO surgery in a specialist. Including that surgery is not routinely performed in specialized centers. It was put emphasis on the first night.

The most common procedure, one or two weeks before the dog can instead of weight. Remember, this is not just the pain and inflammation of the lesion, but also the pain and trauma surgery.

The most important thing you can do is ensure it is active, move at least the next 3 weeks before and after the return.

Can in the next 24 hours, you want an ice compress to the area for 10 minutes, apply 2-3 times. If the dog seems more comfortable than in 48 hours, you can range of motion exercises such as bending and stretching his penis gently 10 times, 3 times a day.

Continue range of motion exercises for the coming weeks. You must use a belt to help your dog to move until your veterinarian has returned to him and appreciatedis very good with him, by the weight on the leg. There are no stairs or furniture at least 1 month, then your veterinarian will be good.

Once healed gradually be able to return the application. But please take this very slowly, until it is healed. You can not undo if you damage the region, not quickly.

Good luck!

Your vet should have given specific instructions on maintenance. You need to gratify your dog for several weeks. If you leave your dog unattended even go all that money you spend in the operating loss. You can try to help them to walk well with a snare (with a towel will work). Place a towel under his belly in front of your hips and keep helping the towel while walking, to stabilize it. Of course you need a second person to hold his leash while you do it.

I just want to give him time. You can also lootttsss love. Every dog has a different recovery period and it depends on the severity of the surgery.

The best thing to do is give love and care, and improve as quickly as possible.

I hope that your dog feels better.

With love,

our Black Cocker became .. Operation, but not necessary. Our vet has given us a MED, remain calm and not let them go. We tested the pen, but she thought she was punished. We'll help you out of bed and other furniture if you have a whip. I can not say he is healed to 100%. She is 6 years. of age and believe that time can make your ACT UP lig healed. Since arthritis comes to us humans. We hope that heals your dog and good luck.
